SPECIAL EVENT FOR HULL CITY BOOK
SPECIAL EVENT FOR HULL CITY BOOK
Pitch Publishing is pleased to announce a special event to mark the release of Special Attraction, Richard Lusmore's second book on his beloved Hull City.
Former City and Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Alan Fettis will join Richard and event host Matthew Rudd at the Stags Head Inn at Lelley on Wednesday, 12 November, at 8pm.
Special Attraction is the follow-up to Richard's critically acclaimed debut Not All Ticket, and continues the author's story of following Hull City during the 1980s and 1990s.
This latest volume begins with the appointment of Eddie Gray as manager in 1988 and charts the Tigers' struggles over the course of the next decade, culminating in the club's desperate fight for survival under the embattled leadership of chairman Martin Fish and manager Terry Dolan.
Richard will be joined for a special Q&A by Alan, who also wrote the foreword to the book. Alan will speak about his time at Boothferry Park, during which he made 178 appearances for his first Football League club and went on to earn the first of his 25 full international caps. He will no doubt also reminisce about the two goals he scored while playing as a striker!
It promises to be an entertaining evening for Tigers fans who will have the opportunity to meet Richard and Alan, as well as picking up a signed copy of the book.
This is a non-ticketed event, but to book please contact The Stags Head Inn via telephone or their Facebook page. Copies will be available to buy on the night, but you can also find ordering details here.
