AN EVENING OF RAITH ROVERS TO CELEBRATE RELEASE OF WE LED IN MUNICH

Pitch Publishing is excited to announce a special event to mark the release of We Led in Munich, Steven Lawther’s new book on Raith Rovers.

An evening of Raith Rovers will take place at Waterstones in Kirkcaldy on Thursday 16 October 2025, at 7pm, bringing together the author and former Raith Rovers captain Danny Lennon to reminisce and re-live Raith Rovers magical 1995 UEFA Cup journey which ended in the Olympic Stadium in Munich leading the mighty Bayern Munich thanks to Lennon’s free-kick.

We Led In Munich brings you the inside story of the Raith Rovers’ European adventure, revealed by players, management and fans.

This detailed and candid account captures the highs and lows of a historic run that took the Kirkcaldy club to the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Germany culminating in an unforgettable two-legged tie against Bayern Munich.

It follows Jimmy Nicholl’s side on their uplifting and unlikely journey as they punched above their weight to take on Europe’s finest.

Fans will have the opportunity to meet the author and former Rovers captain Lennon, and pick up a signed copy of the book.
