About the author

David Battersby was born and brought up in South Wales. He is a lifelong supporter of Glamorgan CCC. In the Shadow of Packer is his first cricket book. In his youth, David would mimic the bowling action of his boyhood hero Bob Willis, even taking 9 for 16 in one game against a rival school! David lives in Cheltenham with his wife and daughter and enjoys many hobbies outside cricket, which include riding his road bike and watching Newport County AFC.
