About the author

In a four-decade journalistic career, Neil Drysdale has covered many major sports events, including the 1995 Rugby World Cup and the 2000 Olympics. An award-winning feature writer, his work has appeared in The Herald, The Sunday Times and The Press & Journal. He has authored several books, including a best-selling biography of Scotland and Rangers manager Walter Smith, and he co-wrote Scotland goalkeeper Alan Rough’s autobiography.
