About the author

Phil Matthews is the author of Derby County Miscellany, Derby County Greatest Games and Derby’s Days (the latter two titles with Gareth Davis). Phil is a freelance broadcaster and writer who has supported the Rams for more than 40 years. In that time, he has commentated on behalf of the club and Ram FM, and worked for ITV and the BBC.
